ABOUT EGOV

E-Government refers to the use of information technology in government activities, providing public services, and conducting government operations through platforms such as websites. With the potential of the Internet, e-Government is set to transform some methods and structures of state agencies, creating more opportunities for citizens to interact directly with the government and for the government to provide direct services to its citizens.

Classification

Government to Citizen (G2C)

  • G2C involves the government’s ability to directly provide services to citizens, such as birth certificates, driver’s licenses, consultations, complaints, tax monitoring and payment, public services, as well as supporting citizens with basic services like education, healthcare, hospital information, libraries, and other services.
  • The primary goal of G2C is to reduce the cost of providing public services and ensure better communication between the government and citizens. This reduces the time and costs for citizens when completing transactions. By making public information more accessible through websites, G2C allows citizens to download online forms, access services quickly and conveniently, anytime and anywhere. This improves the effectiveness of government functions and makes the government more transparent to citizens.

Government to Business (G2B)

  • G2B focuses on the various services exchanged between the government and businesses, including policies, regulations, and institutions; accessing business information (land use planning, urban development, bidding, construction, etc.), downloading forms, renewing licenses, registering businesses, applying for permits, and paying taxes.
  • G2B plays a crucial role in business development. It increases the fairness and transparency of government projects and contracts. G2B supports business development, particularly for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Simplifying licensing procedures and supporting the approval process for SME requests will boost business growth.

Government to Employee (G2E)

  • G2E is an internal part of G2G, including services and transactions in the relationship between the government and its employees. It provides employees with access to information related to salary and benefits policies, training and learning opportunities, and allows them to check leave balances and review payroll records quickly and easily.
  • G2E is a successful way to provide electronic knowledge, engage employees, and encourage knowledge sharing. G2E helps train and develop the workforce to meet the challenges and rapid changes of the information and communication technology era.

Government to Government (G2G)

  • G2G refers to the interaction, coordination, and effective service provision between different levels, sectors, organizations, state machinery, and government agencies in managing and governing. It provides information related to compensation policies, benefits, training opportunities, and civil rights laws in an accessible manner.
  • G2G transactions occur at two main levels: internal G2G and international G2G. Internal G2G involves transactions between the government and local authorities or relevant organizations. International G2G involves transactions between different governments. By communicating and collaborating online, government agencies can work together, build databases, and share resources among all member countries. G2G is seen as a tool to enhance diplomacy and international relations.
